How Ummah Academy Began

2022 — The Seed
A Problem We Couldn't Ignore
Our founder noticed Muslim families in the West struggled to find qualified, authentic Qur'an teachers — relying on uncertified volunteers or expensive local schools with inflexible schedules.

2023 — The Solution
Building the Al-Azhar Connection
We began recruiting directly from Al-Azhar University — focusing on scholars holding Ijazah certificates with documented chains to the Prophet ﷺ.

2024 — Launch
Ummah Academy Goes Live
We officially launched with 20 teachers and 150 students across 12 countries. Our first Ijazah was granted to a student in the UK within our first year.

Expanding the Family
Expanded to 100+ scholars, 1,000+ students, 50+ countries, and introduced the Ummah Cubs program for children age 5+.
