How Ummah
Academy Began
A Problem We Couldn't Ignore
Our founder noticed Muslim families in the West struggled to find qualified, authentic Quran teachers — relying on uncertified volunteers or expensive local schools with inflexible schedules.
Building the Al-Azhar Connection
We began recruiting directly from Al-Azhar University — focusing on scholars holding Ijazah certificates with documented chains to the Prophet ﷺ.
Ummah Academy Goes Live
We officially launched with 20 teachers and 150 students across 12 countries. Our first Ijazah was granted to a student in the UK within our first year.
Expanding the Family
Expanded to 100+ scholars, 1,000+ students, 50+ countries, and introduced the Ummah Cubs program for children 5+.
A Platform for the Ummah
Today we deliver 400+ live teaching hours monthly, with 12+ Ijazah certificates issued, 95% student retention, and a complete Family Portal.

Most platforms teach memorization as performance. We fundamentally reject this. Our "Itqan" (perfection) method insists on mastery, precision, and Tadabbur at every stage.
