What Tajweed Actually Is<\/h2>\n

Tajweed literally means “to make better” or “to improve.” As a science, it’s the set of rules governing how each Arabic letter is correctly pronounced (Makharij, the exit points of letters) and how letters interact with each other in continuous recitation \u2014 when a sound is lengthened, softened, merged, or nasalized.<\/p>\n
